Real Weddings: Elle & Campbell's Intimate Garden Celebration

When Elle and Campbell envisioned their wedding day, they knew Garvan Gardens' natural beauty in Hot Springs would be the perfect backdrop for their intimate, organic celebration. For Campbell, an Arkansas native who now calls Colorado home with Elle, bringing their 125 closest friends and family back to his home state created a day that was equal parts heartfelt and eclectic, filled with personal touches that made every moment uniquely theirs.

A Chapel Ceremony with a Surprise

The ceremony took place in the stunning Anthony Chapel at Garvan Gardens, where floor-to-ceiling windows frame the natural beauty of the surrounding forest. Guests settled in for what they expected to be a traditional ceremony, surrounded by the chapel's soaring wooden beams and breathtaking views. Then came the first delightful surprise of the day: Elle's brother stepped forward as the officiant, catching everyone off guard and adding an incredibly personal touch to the proceedings. It was one of those perfect moments that reminded everyone this wasn't just any wedding. It was a celebration deeply rooted in family and connection.

An Eclectic Reception Space

Following the ceremony, guests made their way to the Hamp Williams Building, where we transformed the space into an organic, garden-inspired dream. Greenery cascaded from and wrapped around the exposed beams overhead, while long baskets overflowing with flowers hung above an oversized head table that became the room's stunning focal point.

The color palette of greens and yellows felt fresh and alive, with sunflowers playing a special role throughout the design. These weren't just aesthetic choices. The sunflowers were a beautiful tribute to Elle's late mother, ensuring her presence was woven into every detail of the day. More than one guest mentioned feeling her spirit there, a testament to how thoughtfully Elle and Campbell honored their loved ones.

Heartfelt Moments and Joyful Celebrations

If there's one thing that defined this reception, it was love: spoken, celebrated, and felt in every corner of the room. The speeches were a highlight of the evening, with friends and family sharing stories that had guests laughing one moment and reaching for tissues the next. Everyone spoke with such genuine affection about Elle and Campbell that it was impossible not to be moved.

Vibrant Occasions Catering kept everyone well-fed and happy throughout the evening with a delicious meal, and later surprised guests with a late-night ice cream bar that was an absolute hit. There's something about ice cream at a wedding that just makes people happy, and this was no exception.

Personal Touches That Made It Theirs

One of the most impressive aspects of this wedding was the cohesive design vision that extended to every detail. Elle's sister created all of the graphic design elements for the day, and they meshed seamlessly with the organic, eclectic aesthetic. From signage to place cards, everything felt intentional and connected. It was a beautiful addition that elevated the entire experience.

Throughout the night, guests kept pulling us aside to share how much they were enjoying themselves and to compliment the seamless flow of the day. It's always gratifying to hear, but it's especially meaningful when you can see that guests are genuinely present and savoring every moment.

A Special Connection

We have to share something that made this wedding particularly special for our team. Our Founder and Creative Director, Lillie, was eight months pregnant during Elle and Campbell's wedding. In fact, it was the last event she coordinated before welcoming her daughter just two weeks later.

A few weeks after the wedding, a package arrived: a onesie from Elle for Lillie's new baby girl. It was such a thoughtful gesture and a perfect reminder of why we do what we do. The relationships we build with our couples go beyond just one day, and Elle and Campbell exemplified the kind of genuine, caring people who make this work so rewarding.
